Each year the kids only ask for 1 present. We don't make them choose just one item but they set their minds on one present. This year Dillan wanted an American girl doll, that's all! and Zack wanted a Big Truck with no buttons on back. Well Santa finally figured out what a big truck with no buttons on back and as for the American Girl doll well Santa received a letter asking him not to get her one.
Zack got his big truck with no buttons on back and was excited it even came with a big four wheeler like dads. Dillan did not get her doll but she still liked what she got, but was a little disappointed that she did not get the one thing she asked for.
The kids have talked about wanting scooters for quite awhile, but never asked Santa for one. He has great little elves that passed the word along. The kids were able to ride them in the house until we had a little warm up here and they wanted to take them outside. They have loved them.
I love this. Zack looking on at all the presents under the tree from Rusty and I. He could not wait to get all the presents opened.
Santa always sets our table and leaves a few more presents on the table. We made a yummy breakfast of snowman pancakes and bacon scarfs. We had 1:00 church so we opened our Santa presents then ate breakfast, opened our family presents then went to church. This was one of the days I was glade to have late church. The kids were able to enjoy the morning and we were able to be lazy and still make it to church. It was such a fun morning.
He just wanted to eat the wrapping paper. Didn't care to much for the actual present.
Dads Gift-New Slippers
Christmas was so fun this year. Last year I had a hard time getting into the holiday spirit. So it was nice to have that spirit this year. The morning was perfect and so fun. This is such a fun age to have kids, they are so excited. I enjoyed Christmas as a kids, my parents always made it so magical. This year was a magical year for us. I love to watch the kids faces and expressions. The excitement they share is what helps make the day so wonderful. We always try and give the kids something that will remind them of the Savior, this year we gave them tithing boxes and scripture markers. They love the tithing boxes and the scripture markers are pens that have multiple colors in them and they make great sacrament time items to keep them entertained.
